The Target experience

At Target, dive into a tech wonderland! Explore cutting-edge gadgets like smartphones, tablets, and VR headsets. Interactive displays let you test-drive products. While providing customers a simplistic journey from browsing to checkout.

My Role

My role as a UX designer for Target's VR experience involves understanding user needs, designing intuitive interactions and visuals, ensuring accessibility, optimizing performance, conducting user testing, and documenting design guidelines. I'm pivotal in crafting an engaging and user-friendly virtual shopping environment.

Overview

The design of the Target technology site was crafted to deliver an unparalleled blend of seamlessness, security, and delight, while captivating users with the latest in technology and intriguing specifications offered by the Meta Quest 2 headset.

The Challenge

The challenge was to create a site that seamlessly captivates users with engaging content about the Meta Quest 2 headset, while also ensuring security and usability. It involves striking a balance between visuals, information, and navigation, all while optimizing load times and compatibility across devices. Maintaining security measures adds complexity, requiring a harmonious integration of design, functionality, and security protocols.

The Process

Recognizing the needs of users who enjoy technology and VR headset use involves understanding their desire for immersive experiences, seamless navigation, and access to the latest innovations. It entails providing intuitive interfaces, captivating content, and compatibility with VR devices, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable virtual reality experience.

The Solution

Listening to and documenting user needs and customer experiences with site navigation ensure that adequate accommodations are provided on the Target site.

The Results

Users can easily browse through a curated selection of the VR headset, access detailed product information, and even try on virtual demos. This hands-on experience fosters confidence in their purchase decision and enhances their overall satisfaction with the Target site.

Over 10+ comps and wires created. After extensive thought, We gained valuable insite from user to satisfy the best results for an optimal experience

Positive Findings

A. The UI interface was relocated to the top of the page, enhancing user navigation with a more dynamic experience. Additionally, images were enlarged to occupy the top of the screen, offering a distinctive display.

B. The title description and pricing were formatted to appear at the top of the page, prioritizing the most important details for users.

C. Initially, Target Add-ons were included during checkout to offer users additional options for their final decisions, while also boosting sales revenue.

D. The quantity button has been adjusted to align with the "Add to Cart" button, enhancing the visual appearance of the interface.

E. #Targetstyle images have been resized to fit the screen layout proportionally.

Custom modifications

By attentively listening to users, we refined the homepage to offer an impressive and seamless browsing experience for Target customers, ensuring they enjoy every moment of their visit.

1. Target Add-ons

Target Add-ons, also recognized as impulse items, empower customers to make last-minute decisions and effortlessly browse for additional items before checkout. This streamlined process not only saves time but also ensures a dependable customer experience.

2. Title and Image

The title was positioned at the top of the page for improved organization, while items were expanded to fill the width of the screen from left to right, ensuring they became the focal point of the display.

3. Drop Down Button

The drop-down button was adjusted to align with the width of the "Add to Cart" button, enhancing the visual harmony and proportion of the UI design.

The Solution

The user flow diagram for Target offers a streamlined approach to convenience and browsing, presenting a visually appealing display that facilitates direct checkout solutions without requiring users to navigate far from the designated area.

Finding & Results

Target Technology provides compelling reasons to shop for its latest and greatest devices, ensuring easy browsing throughout the site for all users.
1. Users enjoy a dynamic and comprehensive product display that occupies the majority of the page, ensuring that the most crucial aspects are prominently showcased front and center.
2. The site's intuitive navigation makes it easy for users to browse and explore different options available for the Meta Quest 2 headset, with everything users want 1-click away from checking out.
3.Target's site may offer personalized recommendations based on users' browsing history and preferences, helping them discover accessories, bundles, or related products that complement their interest in the Meta Quest 2 headset.
4. With streamlined checkout procedures and secure payment options, users can complete their purchase of the Meta Quest 2 headset with ease and confidence, ensuring a hassle-free shopping experience from start to finish.

5. Simplicity is crucial for delivering an outstanding user experience, which ultimately drives increased customer engagement and revenue.

Through an in-depth review of multiple technology sites, our objective was to prioritize the user experience by making the device itself the focal point of our site. This ensures a pleasant engagement, allowing users to easily click and proceed to checkout with a simple and streamlined process.
